Sirens… mythical creatures known for luring men to their death with their mystical song. Like these mythological creatures, as women and gender non-conforming people, our song is powerful. Our words are filled with unknown magic. We have a song, a story, our truth to tell - and we have long been ready to be heard. i wantNovember 5-6, 2022As the story goes, Lilith wanted equality with Adam, and she was denied that. Because of it, she was shunned and demonized - all for something she deserved all along. It’s ok to want things. Because of gender (and many other factors), women and gender non-conforming people are still shunned, demonized, mocked, for wanting things - even just our own rights. What we want and deserve, we still have to fight for. Despite the struggles of this fight, you cannot put our fire out. We must breathe in hope - and revolution.
